Sheyenne High School Track & Field team is working in coordination with SoleMOTION Race Management LLC to bring the 8th annual “Greg Grooters Memorial Run” to the streets of West Fargo on Saturday, April 13th.
​
Greg passed away after battling cancer in 2016 and was a long-time teacher, coach and administrator in the West Fargo Public Schools. He was the first principal of Sheyenne High School and took great pride in creating traditions while establishing the school. He was also an avid runner and track and cross country fan. He participated in countless road races, coached West Fargo and Moorhead High School track and cross country teams to State Championships, and loved to follow local track and cross country athletes! The "Greg Grooters Memorial Run" was established to honor Greg’s legacy and continue to make an impact on Sheyenne students.

Q – When is the Greg Grooters Memorial 5K?
A – The Greg Grooters Memorial 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Q- Where will the Greg Grooters Memorial 5K take place?
A – All events will start and finish at the Sheyenne High School track complex
Q- Is there a Kids Run?
A – Yes, there will be a 1/4 Mile Kids Fun Run for kids 12 & under. We also have a discounted rate for kids (12 & Under) that would like to run the 5K.
Q – How will I know my time?
A – All 5K participants will be electronically timed with results posted on the soleMOTION website
Q - What is included in my registration?
A – 5K participants will receive a Greg Grooters Memorial shirt, after race drinks and snacks.
Q- When is packet pickup?
A- Packet pick-up will be available from 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Sheyenne High School track complex
